I founded S-Teck Mining Consulting Ltd to do my part in helping the mining industry thrive through the challenges we will be facing in the next decade. Whether it be fluctuating commodity and consumable prices, the drive to decarbonize, automate and electrify mines, or the personnel challenges facing many mines, these challenges are driving innovation and collaboration at an unprecedented rate.

In my previous career as a Senior Engineer at a large open pit mining operation, I witnessed the growth of an operation for eleven years, from exploration through the growing pains of commissioning and commercial production and the frenetic, positive energy that comes with continuous improvement and steady production. Throughout that time, helping the operation implement strong processes that led directly to higher plan compliance and increased plant production is a contribution I am immensely proud of. Equally important was having insightful discussions, challenging assumptions, and bringing in new team members and training and mentoring them to help them excel.

As a consultant, I am thankful to have the privilege of sharing knowledge and solutions with many clients around the world and building tools and processes that can help businesses generate lasting value and team members meet their full potential. Speaking fluent French, English and Mandarin Chinese allows me to reach teams around the world and break down any silos created by language barriers in different operations.
